What is EFT?

Tapping Into Your Own Body's Energy

This simple EFT technique has been used in addition to normal treatment procedures by physicians, nurses, therapists and many others in the medical fields, also.

Light Tapping Is Akin to AcuPressure

This alternative therapy can best be described as an emotional version of acupuncture, without the needles. It is closely related to acupressure, except that you use a light tapping instead of pressure on the energy meridian points of the body.

EFT Founder: EFT Training via The Emotional Freedom Technique was developed by Gary Craig, a Stanford engineer graduate.

Mr. Craig is now retired from EFT practice, however many alternative health practitioners have learned how to use this emotionally focused therapy.

Craig believes that "the cause of ALL negative emotions is a disruption in the body's energy system". He discovered that this disruption could be corrected simply by tapping the energy meridian points, using your fingertips. Stimulating the energy points via learning about tapping results in the re-alignment of the body's energy system.

By eliminating the negative energy disruption, using the Emotional Freedom Technique can be the first step toward healing pain, disease, stress, fears, phobias, anger, and any number of maladies.

Emotional Freedom Techniques can be used for sinus pain, back pain, itchy eyes, and panic attacks. Some people use surrogate tapping for asthma and claim that their use of their inhaler dropped dramatically.

Some people who have had miraculous results even choose to explore an EFT career.

A Form of Bio-Feedback

One of the best books written to explain EFT techniques is co-authored by industry leaders, David Feinstein, Donna Eden and Gary Craig.

Dr. Feinstein is a clinical psychologist and the national director of the Energy Medicine Institute. His wife, Donna Eden, is a well-known energy healer.

Dr. Craig is the founder of Emotional Freedom Techniques. The basis of EFT asserts that phobias, anxieties, traumas, anger and depression may be able to be managed without medication.

Much as Eastern medicine has been doing for centuries, the theory behind this is simply bio-feedback. By stimulating the energy points on the skin, coupled with specific mental activities, a person can change their brain's electro-chemistry.

The book also includes many pictures describing exactly how to perform hands-on EFT techniques.
