Ayurveda Herbs: Holistic (whole body) Health

Ayurveda herbs are part of an ancient science that has been used for over 5,000 years by millions of people to address a person's overall health and well being by focusing on the whole body, instead of upon a list of specific symptoms or diseases.

The word, 'ayurveda', means the "Science of Life".

The body is a whole, contiguous entity.

Just as it is known that physical ills can manifest themselves from emotional ills, such as when a person is under a lot of stress, his or her neck or back will begin to hurt. Sometimes, this also manifests itself as a stress headache, or migraine.

The purpose of ayurveda is to assist the sufferer become happier and less stressed. This is attained through focusing upon the whole body and all of its various systems.

Two Ayurvedic Principles

1. Maintain a disease-free condition.

2. If a person becomes ill, treat the whole person, rather than each separate disease.

Western medicine is much 'younger' than ayurvedic medicine. Western medicine treats specific parts of the body, rather than treating the whole body (holistic medicine) as one entire system, all of which must work in harmony.

Ayurvedic medicine promotes treating the root cause of illnesses toward keeping the entire body happier and stress free.

A healthy, quality lifestyle is the necessary ingredient to remain disease free.

The ancient ayurveda texts say there are two types of regimens that must be followed.

Day Regimen

Day regimen is about creating a daily routine. A person should awaken early, about an hour before the sun rises, answer nature's call, brush teeth and then cleanse the body by taking a bath or shower.

Once clean, he or she should worship the Supreme Being or Power.

Only after all bodily functions have been completed and worship has been performed, should he or she eat meals.

Ayurveda Diet is also an aspect of total body health.

Night Regimen

Eat dinner before sunset.

After sunset, he or she should relax and spend time with their family.

His or her bedroom should be a peaceful, restful and uncluttered place in which to sleep to gain energy for the next day.

The direction of placing the head of the bed is also of consequence.

Saddvritta: Social Behavior and Responsibilities

Saddvritta deals with a person's social behavior and his responsibilities toward whichever society in which he lives.

When performed correctly, the mind is uplifted. This benefits not only the person, but the people around them.

Rasayana: Herbal Medicines To Maintain A Lithe, Youthful Body

Rasayana is about the ways to achieve longevity by the use of herbal medicines to maintain a youthful body.

Panchakarma: Detoxification For Rejuvenation

Part of Ayurveda herbs is about Panchakarma, the body's detoxification and rejuvenating procedures.

Panchakarma is a five step detoxification procedure which helps in the elimination of toxins in the body. Once eliminated, homeostasis (bringing the body back into balance) of the three humors (vata, pitta and kapha) can be achieved.

Therapeutic description, usage, and preparation of various herbal medicines have been used in making ayurvedic herbal compounds to address diseases and return the body back to health.

Hence, an ayurveda lifestyle along with ayurveda herbs is a complete whole body science that has the capability to eradicate disease and make a person more serene, more energetic, more youthful and filled with more enthusiasm.

Diabetes and Ayurgold: Blood Sugar Imbalance

Proper glucose metabolism is necessary for the body to correctly utilize glucose, which is the body's energy source received from dietary intake.

The pancreas contains a group of endocrine cells that are responsible for the production of insulin. Insulin is a hormone which is secreted by the beta cells of the Islets of Langerhans in the pancreas which helps regulate the metabolism of carbohydrates, proteins and fats and also lowers blood glucose.

In fact, insulin is the only hormone that lowers blood glucose.

Insulin is released in response to increased blood levels of glucose, such as occur after a meal.

When insulin is secreted to the many target tissues, it exerts a widespread effect and blood levels of glucose decrease because the glucose is properly being transported out of the bloodstream and into the body's millions of cells.

Insulin increases the transport of glucose from the blood and into most cells. Without insulin, glucose remains outside the cells, thereby depriving the cell of its fuel.

The only organs which do not require insulin for glucose transport are the liver and the brain.

The herbal phytonutrients in AyurGold nourish and stimulate the endocrine system by stimulating the endocrine cells found in the Islets of Langerhans in the pancreas to help it increase its utilization of glucose. This improves glucose metabolism throughout the body.

These herbal phytonutrients (plant-based nutrients) generate enzymes that are responsible for regulating blood sugar in the body and, along with proper diet, 8-10 glasses of water each day and proper exercise, can help restore total balance to the body.

This stimulation of the body's endocrine system by the ayurveda herbs in AyurGold activates key enzymes and promotes glucose transport.

The phytonutrients in Ayurgold help your body improve its own natural glucose metabolism via glucose transport in your blood and decreases the constant yo-yo effect wherein hypoglycemia is followed by hyperglycemia, as a result of an overreaction to the low blood sugar.

Hyperglycemia means higher than normal levels of glucose in the bloodstream.

It is the condition wherein glucose cannot enter the cells where it can be burned for energy due to the lack of insulin, which is its transport agent.

Hypoglycemia means lower than normal levels of glucose in the bloodstream.

There is also a strong link between insulin resistance, obesity and diabetes. The term, 'metabolic syndrome' addresses this issue.

People with diabetes are also prone to infection. When the body has an infection, stress hormones are secreted, such as epinephrine, cortisol and growth hormone. Each of these hormones elevate blood glucose and cause hyperglycemia.

Diabetics who have an infection have a very difficult time in controlling their blood glucose, even when taking insulin.

Elevated stress hormones cause the glucose to once again remain in the blood, rising to high (hyperglycemic) levels instead of being transported to feed and energize the body's cells.

Ayurgold is not a 'magic pill'. It is for people who are serious about wanting to effect a positive change in their body and once again, reap the benefits of good health. Diabetic children, too, can take Ayurgold.

Ayurgold contains ayurveda herbs and is part of an ongoing lifestyle change through which you can regain control over your diabetic state through eliminating dietary mistakes (white sugar, soda pop and other sweets, as well as white flour), in conjunction with drinking 8-10 glasses of water each day to flush and eliminate toxins in the body and beginning an exercise regimen, even if it is only a 15 minute walk each day, in order to assist your body in regenerating your long-term health.

Depending on numerous factors, such as the state of your current blood sugar imbalance, your age, and many other factors, a lifestyle change and the implementation of AyurGold which contains ayurveda herbs, typically takes a minimum of 4 months to begin seeing results. Some may see changes sooner and for others noticeable changes may take longer.

If you would like to effect a change in your own blood sugar health imbalance or that of your child, begin by requesting an ayurveda herbs telephone consultation with the health specialists at IndiaHerbs.com.
